New Archive of Saxon History
On account of the War, the „New Archive of Saxon History (Neues Archiv für Sächsische Geschichte) “ was discontinued 1942 with volume 63. Only after an interruption of more than 50 years, this renowned journal could be relaunched with volume 64 in 1993. Since 1998, it is institutionally connected to the ISGV. Today, the “New Archive of Saxon History” again finds itself amongst the leading historical journals in Germany. Each issue contains a section with scientific contributions, where new research on Saxon regional history is introduced, as well as a section “Research and Discussion”, serving as a forum for smaller contributions and research reports. The journal is completed with a section with book reviews on the most important new releases on German and Saxon regional history, but also on neighbouring historical and geographical disciplines and generally on writings on Saxon local history.
