300 Years of Altranstadt Convention – 300 Years of Silesian Tolerance
Researcher: Frank Metasch
Project period: 2006 - 2007
In 2007, the Altranstadt Convention was exactly 300 years old. With a traveling exhibition, conceptualized by the Silesian Museum in Görlitz, this anniversary is used to raise the awareness of the Polish and Saxon Public on the significance of the Convention. It is not only the intention to introduce the events and consequences of the treaty to Silesia and Saxony, but the limits and the efficacy of confessional tolerance is also critically evaluated. The ISGV project produces a bilingual accompanying publication to the exhibition.
